The Hosts

Adam Cross
Animal behaviorist
Adam has a long history with Animals. beginning at a young age he learned to engage with his environment. Over time this grew into more than just a unique hobby. It became a way of life. earning trust from strays, feeding deer and birds. growing up around farm animals he began to build a strong trust and bond around the art of silent respect.
In his adult years he studied biology, helped raise puppies. volunteered at shelters and even worked as a wild land fire fighter to protect the very nature he came to love. In that time he refined his structure. having grown up in a military family. It only added to an already strong foundation.
With over 15 years of working one on one with dogs and their owners. He runs and owns The Grand Fur Lodge in Hillsboro Oregon. Hes learned what some trainers spend a life time struggling to understand. How to bridge the gap between owner and dog. with his youthful and eccentric take on the dog world. you never know what Adam will do next!

Cory berard
Hello, my name is Cory and I’m here to tell you about my time working with dogs and how I found my way doing so on a deeper much more emotional level. I took a chance and moved to Oregon and wound up training as a kennel tech while working as the facility receptionist, maintenance and IT support. During my time I gained a strong desire to work with dogs as well as finally owning my first dedicated pup. I had decided I was going to find me a Brittany, and, well, a customer was in need of rehoming their 8 month old named chase.
Knowing I was interested in the breed I was the best option in the owners eyes and within a week he was mine. Iv been training blue now for about 2 years, the challenges Iv faced and desire to improve as a trainer has grown during that time.
On a personal level I’m a very outdoors oriented person growing up with Motorsport and travel being a staple. I often find myself gravitating towards new skills and adventure through new places I live. My hobbies constantly change with the wind but now that I have blue he tends to be my main focus knowing as he matures and his training only grows, we will find ourselves enjoying some of my hobbies before him, together. And I don’t see any better way to spend my life then with blue by my side.

AJ Morris
Dog Trainer
I’m here to bring the youth, enthusiasm and a little bit of chaos into tailspin! I may have the least life experience between the 3 hosts but Ive always had my own way with animals.
My professional dog training journey only began in 2024, but you could say it really started with the fact that growing up we always had multiple animals around the house- including but not limited to cats, various kinds/personalities of dogs, rodents, birds, ETC. Then I had a close friend in my younger years who’s family owned a high intake horse stable in which I would often help out on. I got my first job at a farm when I was 12 where I primarily maintained all of the crops and food processing but also took care of livestock like goats, chickens, turkeys, rabbits, and so on. I worked there until I was 17 and started working a handful of other random jobs, but I didn’t find a true passion in any of the work I did again until I started work in the dog industry From there I grew my knowledge and confidence with dogs to be even stronger and continue to do so every day. I quickly learned balanced training techniques while working and began training on my own.
outside of my life with animals and work i’m always looking for new adventures or side quests. I’m a pretty active person and I feel most at peace near a large body of water with the company of good people and dogs. I’m often described as exceptionally strong and emotionally mature for my age. Every day I strive to be the best version of myself I can be and learn more from this industry.
